Hi, I’m Elise!

I’m the owner and groomer behind Bears Grooming Salon. I know it's important to know exactly who's caring for your dog, so here's a little about me and the salon i'm so proud of.

Bears first opened its doors in 2020, when I quite literally hijacked the living room and turned it into my very first grooming salon. It didn’t take long before we outgrew the space, and fast-forward to today, we have our very own salon and have had thousands of paws through our doors.

I’m qualified to City & Guilds Level 2 and 3 in Dog Grooming, as well as holding a degree in Canine Behaviour and Training. This has adapted my approach to grooming, aimed at creating a calm, positive experience while making sure every dog leaves looking and feeling their best.

When I'm not grooming you'll find me at home getting stuck into one of our many side quests. We have chickens, bees, and grow a variety of herbs, fruits, and vegetables. Alongside this, myself and my husband are huge adventure travelers, ticking off as many countries together as we can.

And the name? Bears is named after my first dog, Archie Bear, who I got when I was 14. He was the beginning of my love for dogs and the inspiration behind everything I’ve built. What started with one dog has grown into the salon I have today, and I couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come.
